We need visionary, strategic and competent leaders says iTaukei Affairs Board Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr Josefa Toganivalu.
Mr. Toganivalu was addresing Roko Tui, Senior Assitant Roko Tui and Provincial Council chairmans at the Central division forum that was held at Daku village in Tailevu, on Friday 13.3.26.
Speaking at the opening of the forum, Mr Toganivalu stressed that leaders needed to possess matuarity, are good organisers and operations personnel.
He added that future leaders in the respective provinces and vanua should be earmarked and be educated, with this he said that everything rises and falls with leadership.
The forum was also shown Village Improvement Scheme (VIS)program that was introduced in 2023 and have assisted and continues to do so in the 14 provinces and the island of Rotuma.
The five provinces represented at the central division forum were Tailevu, Rewa, Naitasiri,Namosi and Serua.
